I stole this song from a great blog, birds of a feather flock together. I take a look on this blog almost every day, you should check it out too! But more about the song. It reminds me of the girl Caitlin, the brain behinds 'birds of a feather flock together', every time a listen to it. It's just so relaxing, it gives you the perfect summerfeeling. Love the vocals and the weird sound effects. It's a really catchy song. French Horn Rebellion are gonna play at Pukkelpop Festival in august. I want to go to that festival so bad, but I doubt if my parents let me go. They just drive me crazy sometimes.
But I adore the song, maybe a soundtrack of the summer '10?!

Bon Iver is a genius, actually it's a band. But the frontman and singer-songwriter Justin Vernon does a really good job in singing and writing. This song Bloodbank, I just get an odd sense in my stomach when I listen to it. I recommend to listen to the album, For Emma, Forever Ago, it's just lovely.

I skipped the day where you have to choose your least favourite song, simply because I couldn't come up with a song I really hate.
But today I had to choose a song that makes me happy, and I knew right away wich song to pick. It's Something Good Can Work from Two Door Cinema Club. You should check out their album to, Tourist History.

Sunday, 30-05-2010 we went at Pinkpop Festival (Landgraaf, Limburg). After a train trip that lasted for more than 2 hours, and believe me it was worth it, we finally got there. The artists, the atmosphere, the music, the people, everyting was just perfect. The first act was very good to start the day, The Maccabees. You probably don't know them, but it's a little band from England. We really like the tracks Toothpaste Kisses(so cute), Can You Give It and Love You Better. And the leadsinger is kind of sexy. After The Maccabees we went to Jon Allen. A cute English guy with a guitar. It made me think of Bon Iver, but then happier. Then we ate some fries and drunk some Beer(12.30 in the morning) After that we went to Kate Nash, that was also very nice to watch and hear! I must say that I really like her new album, it's a lot weirder than her first album, and i like that. But we left Kate Nash ealier for Yeasayer, we wanted to stand in front so bad, because after Yeasayer came Florence + the Machine. Yeasayer was very good live, they kind of suprised me. But Florence was absolutely fantastic. She was just so good, we couldn't believe that we saw here in real life, and only to make it better, we touched here. She ran into the public and we stood in front. She even had to cry because the crowd was going crazy.
Then there was P!nk, that was the act that we didn't really enjoyed, the performance was good but we didn't like the music, so we ate a broodje frinkandel speciaal and went to The Prodigy. That was just an excellent band to finish the day. We went crazy and got in the middle of a moshpit. I don't think we've ever danced this hard, my lengs are still hurting. It totally completed our day. With the firework ofcourse. It was simply PERFECT!

I love acoustic music, so I think Amsterdam Acoustics is a great label. Actually it's not a label, it's more like a project where intimate acoustic sessions with musicians are filmed with Amsterdam as cinematographic background. In my opinion this is a great idea. You should check out the Amsterdam Acoustics Youtube account (
http://www.youtube.com/user/Mokummercials). These are my ultimate favorites!:

The XX - Crystalised

Balthazar - i'll stay here / blues for rosann / blood like wine

Awkward I - Put it on wheels so i can move it around

Peter, Bjorn and John - It don't move me

Go Back To The Zoo - Electric

King Jack - Go back to the sun

The Asteroids Galagy Tour - Satellite & Golden Age

Graffiti6 - Stare Into The Sun
I saw this song at the iTunes Store, and i thought 'that's a nice song!' so i searched it at YouTube... and the music video is also very cool!

Revealing the world of a strange small man, who spends his days away from the world. While divulging in strange pleasures he is suddenly thrown into a fantastical journey.

YESYESYES! Eva and I just bought tickets to Pinkpop Festival (Landgraaf, the Netherlands) for this sunday. I'm so excited. I really look forward to see Kate Nash, Wolfmother, Yeasayer, Florence + The Machine, The Prodigy, Pink and Mika. Just to get more in the festival feeling I posted these lovely pics (most of them are from Coachella, a festival I want to go to so bad). And the big question remains: What should I wear?
